About David DiMella

Career highlights past and present

A skilled 4-stroke engine mechanic, David DiMella enrolled in an aerospace engineering program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2019 with an expected graduation date of 2024. His studies at the university focus on aeronautics. During his time at the university, DiMella has worked as an aircraft manufacturing intern with Sonex Aerospace in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He gained a diversity of experience working on engine parts and other components for experimental aircraft while programming and operating multiple axis mill tables. His internship also included work on the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) One Week Wonder project. David DiMella is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, as well as the EAA.

Mr. DiMella is a private and instrument-rated pilot, as well as a glider pilot. His interests include motor sports and travel. He is a former vice president of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s off-roading group, a position that involved coordinating excursions for as many as 20 off-road vehicles. He is proficient in Spanish and is capable of using various professional software and programming languages, including CATIA V.5 and Python.
